and place the symbols on an sheet of printer paper. Write your first name in english below the symbols. For full credit make the symbols and the entire page colorful.

Over the past few days we have been reviewing ancient China. We read a one-page play about Shi Huangdi, the first emporer of a unified China.

Also, we wrote down the symbols for 0 - 9 and learned the pronounciations.

Other phrases we learned included:

hao = hello

ni hao = hello

ni zao = good morning

ni hao ma = how are you?

Today, we had our quiz on the vocabulary from Chapter 19, sections 1-3. We began to watch a short film about the effect of AIDS in Africa.

Homework: There is no homework for periods 1-4. Period 5 is to read Chapter 19, Section 4 and answer questions 1, 3a, 3c, and 4

Today, we discussed the issue of AIDS in Africa. Particulary, Southern Africa. Terms like HIV, AIDS, Epidemic, and Pandemic were discussed and defined.
Due to computer problems at home, I was unable to post yesterday.
