Since we are studying the time period during which Colin Powell became an important public figure, and we are Colin Powell Middle School, I thought it was only right to post a link to a biography of Colin Powell.

Lesson Log Today we discussed the Arab-Israeli Conflict as described in Chapter 16, Section 1. Children were asked what it might feel like to have to split their home with someone that they didn't like.

Lesson Log Today, we reviewed the section of the text on Muslim Empires (15.5). Bellwork was a crossword puzzle that was taken up during class. We worked on a cause/effect worksheet together.

Homework this evening is to skim Chapter 16, Section 1 and define the Terms and Names.
